I was out running one day and saw a crow go after a cat that was hiding under a car. It was a smallish cat, the crow was making a loud noise and a second later another one came down and began to help. It happened within 5 seconds or so as I was running past. I doubt they were hunting the cat, maybe it got too close to the nest but it was a fascinating sight.

Sometimes bats dont just fly out when you open a window or door. You can throw a towel or T-shirt over the top of it and then pick it up. The bat will not move or struggle. Then open a door or window and shake out the towel/t-shirt. The bat will fly away before it even has a second to fall to the ground.

You can teach horses to "kick" on command. Some of the most advanced, if not THE most advanced dressage move is to have the horse jump up and kick mid air. This was used in medivale times to kick enemies off the saddle. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMB0QTDbNjU

Alfred hitchcock The Birds was 100% mythical about birds. They don't attack people at all. And those were crows because they look smaller and crows are smaller than ravens. And yeah they do caw, not make a deep twerking sounds. Maybe because they were making that werid caw was because it's angry sounds being directly at humans as you notice they make that angry sounds as soon as they attack the children. Hey, he didn't mention about the seagulls.

As respect to the crows and ravens, there is one time and only once did I see them gather like they did in the movie. There was about 50-80 crows all sitting on my house and the neighbor's house and the electrical lines, all very close. My mom and the rest of us just looking through the window because this, as he said, is not normal. All of a sudden, a hawk flew out of the palm tree (we've seen it a few times in the previous weeks) where we knew there was a crow's nest, it must have been eating the babies. When the hawk left the tree, all 50-80 birds took off and swarmed it, trying to peck at it mid air. I will never forget that. the hawk didn't come back for awhile either.

The John Wick films are genuinely painful to watch. They have bad writing, bad acting, bad directing, and bad action. I genuinely don't understand why people are so obsessed with these awful films. They are terrible action films. The Raid films are astronomically better in every single way, yet these films don't recieve even a modicum of the attention given to these awful John Wick films. There are so many great Eastern martial arts films that are vastly better than John Wick in every way.

"Mom! Mom! We found a bat!" The kids, playing with super-soakers, accidentally knocked down a bat roosting under our deck. I grabbed a box and came out and covered the poor little bat. I then questioned all the children and determined that none of the children had touched the bat - these were 10 to 12 year olds and relatively truthful. I sent them off to go fill their super-soakers at a different hose tap. I opened one end of the box and had everyone step back to let the bat fly out when it was ready. Only then did it occur to me to called all the parents of the children who weren't mine and to tell them about the bat encounter and also to ask them to talk to their children to ensure that none of the children had touched the bat. If any of them had told me that they had touched the bat, the bat would have had to go off to the county animal control to be tested for rabies and there is no way to do that without killing the bat. After the bat was released, any child who admitted to touching it would have had to have gone for rabies shots.

Gemstone Walkin' Horses

I agree with most, however he's a bit off on the horse behavior. True horses have their instincts, but because they've been bred for so many years, and for so many different purposes, you can't really compare them in general. If a gun fired in a barn, they would hardly start neighing. It's more likely they would more likely jump and freeze to listen for the danger. Then when they whole thing is going down they'd get aggitated and start dancing around in their stalls - not rearing on the spot, like the one in the hall does. That horse is more likely to move around, keep focus on the danger, and possibly try to get loose by yanking its head. Hollywood has a tendency to make horses way more verbal than they actually are. Horses usually neigh when they're calling for others, typically when it's alone or a new place. Also horses kick for various reasons (if they spook, get aggitated, get angry, to tell others off, are in pain or if they're happy and full of energy), and some don't kick at all.

Most kinds of bats can actually bite humans and might do so if they are handled wrongly. Never touch them with your hands. Our bat specialist got himself vaccinated against rabies, because he handles injured bats regularly and has been bitten before. If you need to get them out of curtains, use a towel to gently shove them into a box, place the box outside somewhere up high and cat-save and let them fly away. Nonetheless, they are in fact fascinating animals and if you ever have the change to hear them with a bat detector, do so!
